I recognize there are play design reasons to limit these effects, but is Show and Tell / Braids, Conjurer Adept still in pie for blue and is Eureka / Hypergenesis still in pie for green?Can other colors theoretically do this effect for permanent types that they care about?

Avoiding mana costs is dangerous, so we have to be careful how often we do it. All colors have some ability to put relevant things from their hand onto the battlefield, but again, it’s not something we should be doing with any frequency.

Since kamigawa and cape a will rotate pretty quickly with dominaria United comesMay I get a clarification those 2 new sets will still be printed quite a bit after the rotation since it’s shorter rotation than usual?

Kamigawa Neon Genesis and Streets of Capenna rotate when sets released at that time period have always rotated, when the second fall set after their release comes out. In this particular case, when “Netball” releases in the fall of 2023. It is not a shorter rotation than normal.

I’m not sure. Splendid Genesis, if that counts.

I've looked into the legendary sorcery spells and it is definitely true that they are way cheaper than they should be compared to non-legendary. The theme seems to be either it's 2 mana cheaper, or that it does a 2-3 mana effect it wouldn't do in a vanilla version. When you look at similar cards to them (Genesis Wave, Part the Waterveil, Comet Storm (instant, I know), March of the Tomb, Pick-your-wrath-effect, and Rise From the Grave) you'll find them to be elegantly and aggressively costed!

Silver Boarder Question: in the FAQ(TIWDAWCC) you said that fractional numbers are fair game. So how does that interact with X as a cost? If it can be fractional, how would Thrive or Genesis Wave work? Reveal 3 1/2 cards?

You do fractional things that can work. You can have ½ life increments and a ½ / ½ creature token. For things that don’t function in ½ like cards, you round down to the nearest whole number.

You said you own Splendid Genesis. Has it been a purely commemorative card for you or have you actually played with the card?

It’s not designed to be actually played. It’s framed and on a shelf.

Why you stopped making artifacts referring tapped or untapped (like Genesis Chamber)? It seems a good flavor to distinguish artifacts and enchantments.

Do you think we will see Proposal, Splendid Genesis, or Fraternal Exaltation in a standard legal set any time soon? Or are they too overpowered for standard?

I’m not sure power level is what’s keeping them from being printed in a Standard-legal set. These cards were all made by Richard Garfield to celebrate different big events (his proposal and the birth of his two children). The rules text is flavorful but not exactly rules compliant.

On Ravnica questions people often request to see more of the Gateless. In a hypothetical Ravnica 3, could we also go the other direction and see Guild collaborations to get a few 3 color cards, as hinted by Mystic Genesis?

Ravnica has space issues just getting the ten two-colored guilds in.
