Do you think we could we get a more efficient version of Plow Under in a Modern/Eternal Horizons set?

That’s not something green does anymore.

Could Plow Under be green if it shuffle the cards in the library instead?

Sure. It’s the draw loss that’s the issue.

Reevaluating Green Color Effects

New 25 May 2021 Asked by deyuil 32 Comments

Why is the Plow Under effect not Green anymore? Was it removed because it wasn't providing a good gameplay experience, or was it removed because it just didn't fit into the new evaluation of Green color pie? It's always felt to me like Green was second in top-of-deck-matters after Blue.

We didn’t like effect *and* it didn’t make sense in green. Green is not a color about removing draws of the opponent.

Understanding Plow Under Effect

Is plow under a green effect? Or would it be white/red?

It’s not really an effect we do any more in any color. Blue/red would be the color combination probably if we did it in multicolor.

Plow Under Discussion

Is Plow Under a G/U thing? That seems like the sort of thing they'd do together, and I think we saw it in SOI?

Any land destruction color (red, black, and green) could partner with blue to do it.

It’s no longer in Green’s part if the pie which is why you don’t see it any more.

Are effects like Plow Under or Stunted Growth still part of what green can do to slow down its foe or does green simply destroy noncreature permanent like Sylvan Primordial now?

Plow Under and Stunted Growth are no longer part of green’s pie.

Red Mechanics Suggestion

New 28 Oct 2012 Asked by jpaulovieira 1 Comments

You keeping talking about how you could add more effects to red. How about the "plow under" effect? They mess with lands and mess with the luck and red love to do it!

I don’t feel plow under is red. And it already has land destruction (it’s weaker than it once was but red still has it).

Future of Green Cards

Will we ever see green cards like Plow Under again?

Hopefully not as it’s not part of green color pie. Blue puts permanents on top of player’s libraries not green.
