Taxing Artifacts in Color Pie

New 02 Mar 2022 Asked by deyuil 25 Comments

Are "taxing artifacts" still in the "generic" color pie? i.e., Sphere of Resistance, Trinisphere, and Chalice of the Void (although Chalice is a bit different). Those effects seem to be on White cards more often in recent history (Sphere of Resistance is Thalia, Guardian of Thraben, and Chalice of the Void is similar to Sanctum Prelate).

Taxing is primary white, secondary blue.

Trinisphere Example Choice

Why is the black mana symbol used in Trinisphere's reminder text, as opposed to one of the others?

It was just giving an example. I have no idea why they chose black mana.

Trinisphere Rule Origin

Point of order, darksteel trinisphere was the card that made the rule to ignore reminder text as otherwise it would be a black card.

Blood Moon Trivia

New 02 May 2017 Asked by judgeburris 85 Comments

Hey Mark, it's my birthday today, and I'd like trivia on either Trinisphere or Blood Moon, whichever works for you.

For years I assumed Blood Moon was a made up Magic thing, but one day I was watching the news and they talked about it and I realized it was a real thing all along. Happy Birthday! Not really trivia about the card, but I had nothing.
