The Ozolith

Acornelia and Chitterspitter Interaction

New 24 Jun 2021 Asked by wandipl 38 Comments

Hi Mark. Taking further the Acornelia/Chitterspitter question: if Chitterspitter becoms a creature, I have The Ozolith and my hand is a token from Handy Dandy Clone Machine, it's possible to move all acorn counters onto my hand. Since my hand is a part of me, can I use these counters with Acornelia? :)

Nice try, but no. The counters can’t be on any permanent, even you.

Moving Counters with Giant Fan

Now that we have The Ozolith, can we get a black bordered Giant Fan that moves counters without converting them? That’s all I really wanted to do with Giant Fan in the first place.

We’ve made cards to move +1/+1 counters. What kind of counters are you wanting to move?

Ozolith Feedback and Squirrel Card

congrats on the Ozolith, it will go a long way to help keep a deep forest hermit around (cause while i want squirrels, im not ready for that responsibility when the hermit leaves). on a related note, can i request a new doubling season, that only doubles squirrels, counters on squirrels, time counters, and acorn counters?

I like how you snuck time counters in there. : )

Unexpected Fangs Set Unique

Why is Unexpected Fangs an instant with ability counters instead of being a normal aura?

Because a set plays to what it can do that other sets can’t. It also allows subtle play differences. For example, it has a different interaction with The Ozolith.

Rules Nerd on The Ozolith

New 07 Apr 2020 Asked by wilhelmscreamer 36 Comments

The wording on the ozolith really feels like it belongs in unstable, somehow giant fan feels more black boarder than it. Did it make the rules nerds in R&D explode?

Interestingly Giant Fan is the one that the rules have issue with. Turning a counter into a counter type referenced by the card it’s going on is easy to grok for humans, but messy inside the rules.
