S.N.O.T. Attack Rules

New 07 Sep 2022 Asked by lgosvse 43 Comments

Silver-border rules question. If I have multiple copies of S.N.O.T. stuck together, and some are summoning sick, but others aren't, then is the creature as a whole considered to be summoning sick?

No, the opposite. As long as at least one piece isn’t summoning sick, S.N.O.T. Is good to attack.

Combined Creature Types

Are S.N.O.T. (when it has more than one S.N.O.T.) and Big Furry Monster considered Combined by Brusilda?

I’ll say yes.

Rules on S.N.O.T.

New 24 Jan 2017 Asked by lgosvse 26 Comments

Silver-bordered rules question! If I have two (or more) S.N.O.T. cards grouped together, and some of the S.N.O.T. cards entered the battlefield that turn, but some did not, does the combined creature have summoning sickness or not?

As long as one piece started the turn on the battlefield, the whole S.N.O.T. can attack.

Permanents Fusion Spell

New 26 Feb 2016 Asked by baron-von-lucas 24 Comments

"Would the rules ever allow a spell that turns two permanents into one permanent? Or would something like that only work in silver border?" wasnt that what S.N.O.T. was?

S.N.O.T. was also silver bordered.

Possible Black-Border S.N.O.T.

New 11 Oct 2015 Asked by sabotflask 11 Comments

Could you print something like S.N.O.T. in black-border, using a mechanic similar to Bestow or licids?

It would require a lot of rules support, but I think it’s possible. Remember, I’m not the Rules Manager (black border anyway) so take this with a grain of salt.

Rules on S.N.O.T.

Okay, so what if you connect two S.N.O.T.s with different owners? If you connect your own S.N.O.T. to an opponents S.N.O.T. I would assume it would give your opponent control of the greater S.N.O.T. But what if you were to connect two other player's S.N.O.T.s with your own? Who would control the S.N.O.T.?

You can only connect it to one S.N.O.T. You cannot join together two.

S.N.O.T. Interaction

New 15 Jul 2015 Asked by named-tawny 8 Comments

If I have two S.N.O.T.s in my hand, are they two 1/1's if they're separated by cards, but one 4/4 if they're together? (since it should function in all zones, yes?)

S.N.O.T.’s only click together on the battlefield.

Controlling Merged S.N.O.T.s

New 15 Jul 2015 Asked by elmarcodepico 18 Comments

If I stick my S.N.O.T. to an opponent's S.N.O.T., who controls the resulting creature?

Adding a S.N.O.T. makes the existing S.N.O.T. larger but it does not change control of the creature, so if you put a S.N.O.T. on your opponent’s 1/1 S.N.O.T., you’re opponent now has a 4/4 S.N.O.T.

S.N.O.T Mechanic Potential

New 14 Jul 2015 Asked by artifactorfiction 21 Comments

Could S.N.O.T's mechanic ever be black bordered?! Like an uber Soulbound of sorts!

Over time some silver bordered things have moved to black border. I’d say S.N.O.T. is square in the “maybe” camp.

S.N.O.T. Viability

New 24 Oct 2014 Asked by thepeopleseason 24 Comments

Would a card like S.N.O.T. ever be viable in black-border?

The best I can say is maybe. There are some things that would have to get worked out ruleswise that may or may not work out.

Square P/T Creature

New 04 May 2014 Asked by eldritchguy 9 Comments

Do you think it would be possible to have a creature with p/t that are the square of a value? I feel that Thromok was moving in that direction and it would be cool to see it done once or twice if you feel it's too much matemathic.

Unhinged 16/16 Mystery

New 26 Apr 2013 Asked by saiio 8 Comments

Hey Maro, I was reading the old article titled "The Un Starts Now" and had a question. At the bottom you note that "Unhinged includes:" a "16/16 that only costs four mana." I instantly pulled out my collection of Unhinged and couldn't figure out what card this was referring to. Which card is this?

It’s S.N.O.T. : )

Complex Gameplay Query

New 11 Dec 2012 Asked by alextfish 34 Comments

If I Cytoshape a Nightmare into S.N.O.T, and then cast Volrath's Shapeshifter with S.N.O.T. on top of my graveyard, I assume I can stick the two S.N.O.T.s together. Then if the Cytoshape wears off and I discard a Maro, is there any way to calculate the power and toughness of the resulting stuck-together creature? Or is it just a Maro-Nightmare?

This might have been the nightmare Matt Tabak (the Rules Manager) had last night.

Thromok and S.N.O.T.

New 21 May 2012 Asked by theillestbillain 2 Comments

Was Thromok the Insatiable just an actualized version of S.N.O.T. in black-bordered, single card form?

I think Thromok owes S.N.O.T. a cookie or something.

Squaring Values

New 25 Apr 2012 Asked by zemyla 7 Comments

Since you love doubling and tripling so much, the next logical step is squaring. Will we see a card that squares something?

Been there, done that. Check out S.N.O.T. in Unhinged.
