New Scarecrows Coming Soon?

New 05 Jun 2024 Asked by arcadesuperturbo 3 Comments

First of all, I’d like to thank whoever designed Oasis Gardener. Now, there’s any chance we’ll see more new scarecrows in the next 12 months?

There is a chance.

Desert Support Skepticism

New 22 Dec 2022 Asked by mtgblk 40 Comments

Hazezon, Shaper of Sands seems fun, but doesn't seem to have much desert support. I noticed Desert was errata'd to the desert subtype, but other Arabian Nights lands like Oasis, City of Brass and other "desert" lands from the set(according on the story) weren't. We've seen recent errata for creature types like Dinosaurs and Phyrexians to expand support. Any chance we can see some errata to some lands to support the relatively obscure Desert mechanic?

I’m skeptical that we’ll do that.

Wording Consistency

Can you retire wording like on Stolen Strategy of "you may spend mana as though it were mana of any color" and only use the Hostage Taker and Thief of Sanity ("you may spend mana as though it were mana of any type") wording from now on? Kozilek thanks you. Same for using Incubation Druid text instead of Oasis Ritualist's or treasure tokens?

We want to choose language that maximizes comprehension of the ability. That is prioritized over working with colorless mana as that is a very tiny case use.

Egypt's Geographical Facts

Hey Mark on the topic of Egypts lack of trees, that is 100 percent wrong. The river Nile has a beautiful delta in Alexandria witch is accompanied by a enormous oasis. There are also many stagnant area's witch could easily be called swamps. FYI

Good to know.
