Dual Walker Cards

New 05 Sep 2019 Asked by jonathan-hecht 35 Comments

Now that we know that we can have two walkers on a card, does it make it a new tool to have other walkers join forces or is it only for the twins who share a spark?

It’s a tool. We’ll see.

Love for Surge Mechanic

Hey, Mark! Just dropping by to say I really loved Surge (my favourite mechanic along with Join Forces) and I'm hoping we'll see it again soon. Please high five whoever came up with it, thanks!

Will do.

Returning Commander Mechanics

New 29 Oct 2016 Asked by flyingzombiesharks 47 Comments

I greatly respect your work, & that of Wizards & your team. Is there a reason we don't get returning mechanics in the commander products every year or even every couple years? The command zone abilities of 2013, the experience counters of 2015, etc. are all amazing, as are the Join Forces, Tempting Offer, etc. multiplayer mechanics. I know they are that year's product identifying, unique trait, but I would love to see these on future products as well. I don't want to see these used only one time

We tend to wait a little while before bringing back mechanics. I expect some will eventually return.

Multiplayer Mechanics in Standard

What are the chances multiplayer mechanics (Will of the Council, Join Forces) get printed in a standard legal set?

Low as they don’t make much sense in a two-player game.
