Card Ideas for Blogatog World

New 16 Jul 2024 Asked by banksyguythrowingthings 9 Comments

"What other cards should Blogatog World have?" Sally and her squirrels. Banana foods. Rabiah Storm Beebles. Power Creep. New World Order. Drive to Work (but its "drive" like desire). Welcome to Blogatog. Selective Foretelling. Maybe :) (a red coinflip + punisher counterspell).

I like most of these suggestions. Two comments:
  1. I don’t thing Blogatog has ever been pro-banana.
  2. The multiple meaning of Drive to Work is intentional.

Planeswalker Interaction with B.O.B.

New 06 Jul 2022 Asked by thefriendlyeldrazi 22 Comments

Hello Mark! I have an Un-rules question. What happens if a planeswalker becomes a copy of B.O.B. (Bevy of Beebles) while that player controls a different number of beebles than the loyalty of the transforming planeswalker ? Does the new B.O.B.'s loyalty change or does the player have to create/sacrifice beebles ?

B.O.B.‘s loyalty is equal to the number of Beebles its controller has. Note the ETB won’t trigger unless the creatures enters the battlefield as B.O.B.

Concern Over Planeswalker Gender Balance

New 27 Dec 2021 Asked by schienamento 77 Comments

May I voice a concern of mine? Of all new Planeswalker introduced since Eldraine, 6 of them are men, 1 non binary, 0 women. (I don't count the D&D set ones because they have a lower chance to come back. Still, even counting them, we have a 8-3 rate). It seems to me that we're returning to the old times where most of the cast was men. Can I request (a lot) more woman Planeswalker?

Here’s a list of all the female planeswalkers premiering on a planeswalker card since Throne of Eldraine: Ellywick Tumblestrum Zariel, Archduke of Avernus Lolth, Spider QueenGrist, the Hunger Tide Geyadrone Dihada Jeska, Thrice Born B.O.B. (Bevy of Beebles) (male & female)Gender representation is important to us, and we strive to have a balance. The reason for the slight lean towards male, is we repeated more female planeswalkers as we had them playing bigger roles in the stories, which is also super important. I will stress having a gender balanced planeswalker roster is important to us and something we monitor. Note that we count all planeswalker cards.

Hello Maro! Today is my birthday, so I'd like to ask for some Trivia. Do you have any on cards you personally designed that came out recently?

My favorite personal design of 2020 was B.O.B. (Bevy of Beebles).

Beebles Origin Trivia

New 20 Dec 2015 Asked by astrophobe 24 Comments

Hi! I've asked for this Birthday Trivia my last few birthdays and I thought I'd try again: do you have any trivia about Beebles, particularly Bouncing Beebles? Thank you very much!

Beebles got their start in a very interesting place - the cover of the Duelist. Jeff Miracola drew a Duelist cover with Squee fighting with these cute pink, fuzzy creatures. We liked the so much, we asked for him to make some for cards and thus the Beeble creature type was born. Happy Birthday!

What is tastier and makes for a better beeble roast; Bouncing Beebles or Bubbling Beebles?

Basted Beebles.
