Frost Giant

Keyword Back-Errata Process

Whenever a mechanic gets keyworded, even if it's evergreen or deciduous, it seems like cards that have the identical text written out get left out of the errata buzz. For example, when Ward was introduced why weren't Diffusion Sliver and Frost Giant errated to have the ability? I understand something like Bonecrusher Giant where it isn't identical but Frost Giant is even cited as partly the inspiration for Ward in design articles.

There is a process through which we decide what gets back-errataed and what doesn’t. A big part of it is the text being exact, but I know there are other factors.

Keywording Frost Titan's Ability

I don't remember whether I'd asked this or not, but might as well do it again - have you ever considered keywording Frost Titan's first ability in lieu of hexproof? It's a defensive mechanic that doesn't say "no interaction" as blatantly, and it can be tuned up and down (and sideways with targeting costs like "sacrifice a land").

Frost Giant’s ability is rather complex for a keyword ability. It has a trigger and can counter spells and requires the paying of mana.
