Domestication

Cats in Color Pie

New 26 Jun 2019 Asked by boltedmonkeyman-deactivated2023 61 Comments

Why are cats primarily white? Although domesticated, they don't really serve a societal purpose like dogs, and they don't do anything that exemplifies unity or order. Cats seem closer to red (doing whatever they want) and black (sometimes at others expense + black cat trope) , and even closer to green and blue that to white.

You skipped over the answer. Domesticated animals fall mostly in white. The domestication is what makes them white. Sometimes we get lions of the plains because of White’s connection to plains, but mostly wild cats are not white.

Dinosaurs in Naya Colors

I get that dinosaurs are in the Naya colors, but what about them makes them white instead of just red/green?

The Sun Empire has domesticated them to a certain extent and we often show animal domestication through white. Also, for the set structure Dinosaurs needed to be three color and could only overlap the Pirates (blue/black/red) in one color which mean that they had to be green and white.

About Card Rarity

So what makes mind control an uncommon and domestication a rare when mind control doesn't have the draw back and they're both the same mana cost? What factors go into deciding rarity basically?

What’s going on is that ability has been shifted from an uncommon ability to a rare ability.

Red's Pet Philosophy

@RED: Are you okay with pets and domestication?

Red: I’m fine with pets. I’m not a big fan of leashes or cages.

Green on Domestication

@Green: Are you okay with pets and domestication?

Green: I’m okay with companions. If an animal enjoys your company and wants to spend time with you, that’s great, but it has to be their choice. You forcing them to be with you is wrong.

Limited Play Philosophy

NWO refers to the design philosophy that keeps complexity out of common. Is there a name for the design / development philosophy that keeps premium removal at rare? (EG, Chained to the Rocks, D-Sphere, Domestication, Hero's Downfall, Gild, etc.)

It doesn’t official have a name. I’ll call it Good Limited Play.

Color of Ants

New 27 Dec 2012 Asked by the0uroboros-blog-blog 9 Comments

In regards to domestication. Why are ants green? They are among the very few speices of non-humans that heavily domesticate other animals like aphids and various species of caterpillar. They also farm fungus (leafcutter ants). Wouldn't that make ants white in magic terms? It seems they are green just for being animals, something that is incorrect.

Ants overall do have a bit of a wild nature even though they are very organized. I do think ant-people would be white.
