Primarch

Generic Types Usage

New 15 Sep 2022 Asked by tmbocheeko 21 Comments

Hey Mark, the 40K decks add both generic types (like Inquisitor and arguably Primarch) and 40K specific types (like Tyranid and Astartes.) You already mentioned we might see different types for the specific types in the Universes Within versions, but are the generic types on the table for other products?

It matters case by case, but potentially.

Discussion about Printed Cards

New 18 May 2021 Asked by sniffnoy 39 Comments

Some of the cards you say in your column today didn't make it to print did, in fact, make it to print! Butterfly became Whip-Spine Drake; Spellwild Dog became Spellwild Ouphe; Boss Scragnoth became Quagnoth. Also, Sneaky Goblin seems a lot like Street Wraith, and Veiled Clone like Shapeshifter's Marrow. Also the green common kicker/convoke creature did make it, as Kavu Primarch; Sprout Swarm was in addition. Also, one of the vanishing cycle you say got cut did stay, as Lost Auramancers.

Mechanic Combo Cards

Like that other asker's like of future shifted cards, I myself loved the cards that combined 2 synergistic mechanics from different blocks on one card. (Kavu Primarch, Gibbering Descent, Sprouting Swarm) Are there any cards in that design vein in Modern Horizons?

We call them mix & match cards. There are a few.
