Breath Weapon

Green in Pauper

New 01 Jan 2023 Asked by livbrazilian 27 Comments

and about green in pauper, its the least played color right now, because of all the really good board wipes and removals we have, like snuff out, breath weapon and Krark-clan shaman, so we need some more studier one/two drop creatures or better spells that can help the creatures survive the board wipes, even ways to help exile artifacts would help a lot against the most consistent and played deck (affinity), i was sad when i saw that Haywire Mite was not common

The key is figuring out things green could use that are something we would do at common.

Humour Perspective on Card Themes

New 31 Mar 2022 Asked by firtleturtle 61 Comments

I think there’s an argument for a dragon punching a bear being funnier than the other way around, but it’s close. Just the idea that rather than using a bite, claw, or breath weapon the dragon opted for a close fisted punch is hilarious.

I do think they are close in humor.

Dragon Colors and Flavor Text

New 02 Jul 2021 Asked by hugetractsoffetchland 34 Comments

Although their "breath weapon" abilities are certainly in the color pie, the flavor text on Green Dragon, Black Dragon, and Red Dragon seems more suited to black, red, and white respectively. Is this a kind of bend? Do you know whether the designers considered having the cards' colors not necessarily match the colors of the scales?

It was talked about early and the decision was reached to match their physical color.

Dragons' Advice

New 22 Aug 2015 Asked by disappointedreader-deactivated2 184 Comments

What do you say to aspiring dragons?

1. Fly a lot. The ability to attack from the air will prove very valuable.
2. Become familiar with your breath weapon. Those that oppose you will have weapons. This is your main one. Understand how to use it well.
3. Avoid the lure of shiny things. Yes, gold sparkles but many a dragon’s downfall has been a love of shiny things.
