Comparison of Set Symbols

The set symbols on the Japanese-exclusive mystical archives are very similar, but not precisely the same as those on the English mystical archives. Do they differ enough to count as different symbols for the purposes of "Symbol Status"?

No.

For the purposes of Symbol Status, does the Planeswalker symbol on Mystery Booster cards count as an additional set symbol?

Unfortunately no, as it’s not an expansion symbol.

Expansion Symbols

The symbols allow you to quickly and easily identify the origin and rarity of the card. Definitely don't get rid of them (also, symbol status likes them)

We are not getting rid of the expansion symbols. I just like asking interesting questions so when one of you gives me one, I often turn it to all of you. Have no fear, expansions symbols are here to stay.

For purposes of Symbol Status, does Mirrodin Pure count as a separate expansion from New Phyrexia? (One Mirrodin Pure card was actually printed, Pristine Talisman.)

Yes, it counts.

Un-rules question: Do the set symbols on tokens count for Symbol Status?

No.

Basic Land Symbols

During Theros comprehensive rules update, basic land lost their extension symbol. Does it make Symbol Status far less powerful, or does it has some weird Un-rule?

Un-rules determine things by looking at the card. If the basic land has an expansion symbol on it, silver border counts it.

Token Expansion Symbols

Do tokens have expansion symbols with regards to cards like World-Bottling Kit or Symbol Status? I'd assume they either have the symbol of the token card you're using or of the card that created them if you aren't using a token card, but I have no real way to back that up.

I’ll back it up. For silver bordered purposes (as Silver-Bordered Rules Manager that’s all the power I have), tokens have the expansion symbol of the card that produced them.
