Token Creatures Discussion

Someone mentioned four mana creatures that make two tokens but forgot that Red actually has the best one, so I'm pointing it out. Pia and Kiran Nalaar are great!

The conversation about four mana creatures that make two or more creature tokens continues. : )

This is probably a dumb question, but were Pia and Kiran Nalaar married?

To the best of my knowledge.

Breya's Color Complexity

What about Breya, Etherium Shaper makes her blue, mechanically? Pia and Kiran Nalaar both have the first ability, and her charm has a red, white, and black mode. Sacrificing artifacts is red, too.

And now you see why four color design is so difficult. : )

Couples in Card Design

Are cards with couples (like 'Anex and Cymede' and 'Pia and Kiran Nalaar') only in Red's flavor?

Nope.

Red Tezzeret Discussion

New 21 Dec 2015 Asked by dvoraen 30 Comments

RE: Red Tezzeret. I'm guessing, but I think it was asked because Red has had some very recent history with artifact interaction beyond destruction (e.g. Hoarding Dragon; Pia and Kiran Nalaar; Daretti, Scrap Savant). From that perspective, is Red still a bad fit for Tezzeret?

Red has a little tie to artifacts but Blue’s is much bigger.

Magic Couples Red Connection

Hi Mark! My wife and I both play Magic and today is are our ninth wedding anniversary. That got me thinking... Is it any coincidence that the three creature cards that represent married couples (Tibor and Lumia, Anax and Cymede, and Pia and Kiran Nalaar) all have red in their color identities?

Red is the color of emotion which includes Love. : )

Card Naming Rules

New 21 Jun 2015 Asked by lordthesswoss 34 Comments

Question about Pia and Kiran Nalaar: Is the templating necessary to the rules for some reason? it is very jarring to read "enters" and "deals"

Card titles are treated as singular nouns even if they represent more than one thing.

Legendary Naming Rule

New 19 Jun 2015 Asked by slayfrosty 27 Comments

Given that the templating of legendary creatures in Magic Origins seems to be treating them more like "beings" than "cards" (I.E. the planeswalkers' text saying "return him/her to the battlefield transformed" instead of "return it to the battlefield transformed"), why does Pia and Kiran Nalaar's card say, "When Pia and Kiran Nalaar ENTERS the battlefield?" Drives me bonkers. ;)

Card titles are treated as singular.
