Leyline of Sanctity

Player Hexproof Count

New 11 Jan 2020 Asked by the-plainswalker 49 Comments

"How many cards even grant hexproof to players?" - I think 11 total, 5 of which are in Standard currently (Gruul Spellbreaker, Lazotep Plating, Leyline of Sanctity, Teyo the Shieldmage, Veil of Summer).

Hexproof in White

New 07 Jun 2019 Asked by ricardolongo 35 Comments

What's the status of hexproof in white? It does get the odd hexproof creature (Angelic Overseer) and is able to grant it to both creatures and players (Leyline of Sanctity, Shalai).

It’s tertiary in hexproof and the only color, I believe, to grant it to players.

Hexproof and Shroud FYI

FYI: White has 5 cards that give you hexproof (Aegis of the Gods, Imperial Mask, Leyline of Sanctity, Spirit of the Hearth and Shalai) and 3 that give you shroud (Ivory Mask, Solitary Confinement and True Believer). 2 artifacts for hexproof (Witchbane Orb and Orbs of Warding) and one green card for shroud (Form of the Squirrel) close the lot.

Red's Enchantment Interaction

New 31 Jul 2015 Asked by planeswalkerwithtardis 25 Comments

Can red turn an enchantment into a creature, then blow it up? Like how green can cast a deathtouch creature then have it fight, blue can bounce then counter, white can tap then kill the tapped, etc. Seems like the basic 2 for 1 workaround that keeps a weakness a weakness without crippling a color beyond hope (Leyline of Sanctity against burn, etc.)

Red is not really an animating color. The only thing it’s ever animated is land.
