Errata for Myr Artifacts

New 20 Aug 2021 Asked by imaginejarjar-main 27 Comments

Any chance of the myr artifacts (reservoir, turbine, matrix, and genesis chamber) receiving an errata to become tribal artifacts? Seems like it would make sense for the mana off reservoir to be able to pay for their costs

We have no plans to errata Tribal onto cards.

Why you stopped making artifacts referring tapped or untapped (like Genesis Chamber)? It seems a good flavor to distinguish artifacts and enchantments.

It caused a lot of developmental issues.

Mishra's Toy Factory Mechanics

So even though Acorn Catapult doesn't immediately generate tokens upon coming into play, Mishra's Toy Factory can still be used to cast it? And can Mishra's Toy Factory be used to cast Myr Battlesphere (or, say, an Equipment with Living weapon) if there's a Torpor Orb or Hushwing Gryff in play? Can Mishra's Toy Factory be used to cast any creature if Genesis Chamber is in play?

Oops. I confused two cards. You can use Mishra’s Factory to activate Acorn Catapult or to cast Acorn Harvest. You may not use it to cast Acorn Catapult as it does not directly create tokens when cast.

Norin Sisters Deck

I don't know how much you look at deck lists, but it might hearten you to know that there's a deck in Modern that revolves around Norin the Wary. It's called Norin Sisters and it uses Soul Warden and Soul's Attendant (and sometimes Auriok Champion--the Sisters, from the Soul Sisters deck) to gain tons of life every end step, triggering Ajani's Pridemate and Champion of the Parish, and sometimes Genesis Chamber as well.

That does warm my heart. Go Norin!
