Off-Color Bonus Cards

Can you do a podcast or article about cards with off-color bonuses (Sedge Troll, Cliffrunner Behemoth, Ancient Grudge, etc.)? Like, what role do they serve? How do designers use them? What do they do different from traditional gold? How are they counted in the design skeleton?

That’s a good topic. Thanks. I’ll add it to the short list.

Green Lifelink Absence

Why doesn't green have lifelink? I'm guessing it has too many creature mechanics, or too many overlaps with black, or something like that; but seems so painfully obvious that feels weird that all green cards with lifelink (and I'm counting the old wording) are also white except Cliffrunner Behemoth which asks you to have a white permanent for it

One of the key roles of creature keywords is to help differentiate the colors and help when we are doing cross color cards (think traditional multicolor and hybrid). Black and green have deathtouch and regeneration in common. White and green have vigilance in common. White and black have only lifelink in common. Moving it to green would just double (or triple) an existing pair and take away a common link for white/black.
