Band Together

Unlikely Allies Theme

I'm so far liking the concepts of the team up cards, but some of the ones already shown don't make sense for the characters they depict. Squee+Slimefoot makes sense love it, but Thalia wouldn't team up the with Gitrog Monster (i know its a niche joke but a niche jokes shouldn't overrule the established character of the depicted characters). The Monster is still a person eating monster who endangers the people Thalia wants to protect.

One of the themes of March of the Machine is all the denizens of each plane having to band together against a universal threat.

Possibility of Revisiting Ulgrotha

I'm sure you're tired of questions about Ulgrotha, with your legendary vitriol for Homelands, but it doesn't seem like that a horrible plane to revisit. You point to Innistrad as filling the gothic horror role, but, beyond Sengir, Ulgrotha doesn't seem to be as much gothic as it does regular fantasy. And, AFAIK Sengir has left the plane through the Dwarven Gate. Maybe there's room for a sort-of "Ulgrotha United" were all the races band together in his wake, fearful of his return.

Okay, Homelands fans, I’ll bite. What elements of Homelands would you be excited to see us revisit?

Champion of the Parish

New 26 Apr 2015 Asked by jackitymcblackity 20 Comments

Finally the time to ask my birthday question has arrived. What can you tell me about my all time favorite creature Champion of the Parish??? Thank you soo much

One of the themes was tribal and we wanted the four monster tribes (spirits, werewolves, vampires & zombies) and the humans who served as the victim for the monsters. The strength of the humans was their ability to band together (and turn everyday objects into weapons). Champion of the Parish was created as a human tribal card development could push. Happy Birthday!
