Bird Flocking Mechanics

As for the iconic bird mechanic.... Eyes in the skys, squadran hawk, call, battle screech, dovescape, fable of wolf and own, flurry of wings, emeria angel, Jötun Owl Keeper, Ordered Migration, Pride of the clouds, scion of vitu-ghazi all either come in multiples, or set you up to put out multiples. Birds in magic FLOCK. And I think they have some interesting mechanics to make that happen. I'm a big fan of squadron hawk and beck // call, anything similar down the pike.

Flocks are bird related and yes we do a lot of “numerous birds” mechanical nods. To me that means more than just you can get more out of your deck.

Forecast Mechanic Restrictions

What made you put forecast as Upkeep-only? While it's true that WU loves to keep cards in hand, it likes controlling and responding on the opponenet's turn. All would have been much better if it was instant-speed. And of the 10 cards that use it the only ones that would've had any notable effect are Skyscribing, Proclimation of Rebirth, Pride of the Clouds, and Plumes of peace, less than half!

Restrictions don’t just breed creativity, they also lead to better game play. I’ve explained numerous times that the role of a game designer isn;t to make things easy for the player but make things a challenge. Part of the joy of gaming is achieving your objective while overcoming obstacles.

Bird Tribal Support

Now that Faeries are stuck with an... unpleasant reputation, do Birds have a better chance of getting some tribal support? The last one was back in Onslaught block (unless you count Pride of the Clouds which is a general flier lord).

I’m a fan of birds. (That one isn’t going to be taken badly, right?) I too would like to see a new bird lord one of these days.
