Are Goblin Wizard, Goblin Lackey and Goblin Instigator bends or breaks?

No, we let red put Goblins from hand onto the battlefield.

Oldest Powerful Creature

New 13 Aug 2013 Asked by quincognito 24 Comments

alright, assuming you asked in the pit today: what IS the oldest creature that's too powerful to reprint?

We talked about it a bit today. We’d probably be unwilling to reprint Phyrexian Dreadnaught but that’s more due to combo abuse than power unto itself. That’s Mirage.  The next one that some thought we wouldn’t do for power reasons was Goblin Recruiter from Visions. There was some debate on this one. Everyone agreed that Urza’s Saga had a number of creatures we most likely wouldn’t reprint including Morphling, Goblin Lackey and some of the free spell creatures.

Goblin Tribe Power Level

why goblins as a tribe has been so depowered? before, we had things like goblin matron, goblin lackey, goblin piledriver, warchief and ringleader that made goblins an aggro control deck (paired with mana denial for example), now is a dumb aggro archetype. some love for goblins please?

Mons, is this you? : )

Fight Ability in White

New 31 May 2013 Asked by tsumiband-blog 4 Comments

Why isn't Fight in White? I get that it gets the most mileage out of fat creature vs. not-so-fat creatures, but it seems quite tactical to send a specialist in to take out a particular creature ("you there! Silver Knight! See that Goblin Lackey over there...")

Every color in Magic fights but we like to isolate our abilities in a few colors to help maintain the color pie. Could white have fight philosophically? Probably. Will it? No.
