Seraph's Eternal Potential

Since Exchange of Words is eternal, do you think Do-It-Yourself Seraph would be eternal if it were first printed here?

I’m not sure.

Unacorning Seraph

Could Do-It-Yourself Seraph be unacorned? With Myr Welder and to an even bigger extent Mutate with its text box fusion technology I would think it is.

I think you could make a similar card using eternal-viable mechanics, but as-is, Do-It-Yourself Seraph would not have been eternal if printed in Unfinity. For example, having other textboxes does things like get you watermarks (something that matters in Un-play) which mutate-type things do not.

Pondering Do-It-Yourself Seraph's Capabilities

In regards to the Do-It-Yourself Seraph, while the "this creature has the text box of each card exiled with it." Might not necessarily be possible in black border, but "This creature has all abilities of cards exiled with it." Should be. For example,, Necrotic Ooze, and Mairsil the Pretender each gain the activated abilities of cards, and The Book of Vile Darkness Creates a Vecna token that gains triggered abilities. And more or less any clone gains all abilities of a single card.

It’s playing in space we might be able to do, but copying can get complicated when copying more than one thing.

Potential Suitability of Seraph Card

Could Do-It-Yourself Seraph be an eternal card if it was reprinted? Or do you think it might need some rephrasing?

The having multiple text boxes part of the card is strictly acorn territory. Could you capture it a different way? My gut is no, but that’s more a question for the Rules Manager.

Capital Offense Card Texts

New 15 Dec 2017 Asked by mattgainer 44 Comments

Does capital offense give Do-It-Yourself Seraph -x/-x for each capital in only its text box or also the text boxes of cards you've exiled with the DIYS?

It looks at all text boxes including ones added/stolen.
