Diffusion Sliver

Ward Keyword Precision

Why hasn't Diffusion Sliver and Frost Titan received Ward 2? It almost literally is identical wording to what Ward does.

Keywords have to be exact. Almost isn’t good enough.

Ward and Errata

Since Surveil and Landfall have gotten updated, what do you think the chances are that Ward and effects like Diffusion Sliver get combined as well?

The errata wasn’t combining things, but labeling terms that use identical language.

Keyword Back-Errata Process

Whenever a mechanic gets keyworded, even if it's evergreen or deciduous, it seems like cards that have the identical text written out get left out of the errata buzz. For example, when Ward was introduced why weren't Diffusion Sliver and Frost Giant errated to have the ability? I understand something like Bonecrusher Giant where it isn't identical but Frost Giant is even cited as partly the inspiration for Ward in design articles.

There is a process through which we decide what gets back-errataed and what doesn’t. A big part of it is the text being exact, but I know there are other factors.

Hexproof Sliver Possibility

I've always been in love with Slivers ever since I started in Onslaught. But with tribal being nixed, I fear for the brood returning in subsequent sets. Diffusion Sliver was not the Hexproof variant of Crystalline Sliver I was hoping it to be as its rules text are worded in such a way that it can't be "vialed" in as a response. Bottom line: On the storm scale, where does a Hexproof Sliver stand?

Tribal, the card type, not tribal, the block theme, has been axed. Slivers will most likely return.
