Day of the Dragons

Effect Rarity Issue

You say Banisher Priest type effects are primary in white and secondary in blue and green, but I can only find 2 in blue (Colossal Whale and Day of the Dragons) and 0 in green. Can it really be labeled as secondary when none exist (assuming I haven't missed any)?

That was the one thing in the whole document where I was looking ahead. I shouldn’t have done that, but too late now. : )

Day of the Dragons

Day of the Dragons seems like such a red card. When i read it, the flavour feels like a mage thinking "All these 1/1's are boring, wouldn't it be cooler if they were all dragons?!" What am I missing that makes it blue?

Blue has the ability to change the shape of things. That’s why it’s the color of shapeshifting and polymorphing.

Day of the Dragons

Who designed Day of the Dragons from Scourge? It is hands down one of my most favorite cards. I play it in a ramp/token/draw/tutor Mimeoplasm EDH deck and I just adore it. Also, on a scale of 1 - 10 how much does it violate Blue's slice of the pie?

If I had to guess I would say it was Brian Tinsman, lead designer of Scourge. (Note it is just my best guess and not necessarily true.)  How much does it violate blue’s color pie? 1 out of 10 if I can’t choose 0. Blue gets polymorphing (changing creatures from one thing into another) which is what this spell is doing.
