Arcades Sabboth

Color Order Historical Practice

New 28 Aug 2018 Asked by gamma-3 23 Comments

"We’ve never done it that way. It makes certain colors feel more important." That is not accurate. Many older cards were sorted that way, two examples that come to mind are Phelddagrif and Arcades Sabboth

Some color combinations, like white/blue/black, still do it.

Arcades Sabboth Feedback

As a player who almost solely plays commander, the new Arcades Sabboth card is one of the most interesting and exciting cards I've seen in a long time.

The majority of comments I’ve gotten on the card have been positive.

Are there any plans to bring back the Elder Dragons (Arcades Sabboth, etc.)?

It would have to be in a supplement product. (Bolas killed them all.)

Nicol Bolas Trivia

Today is my birthday! Nicol Bolas is my favourite character since I first pulled him in a pack of Chronicles. Any bit of trivia about him or another legendary dragon would make my day, please!

I remember talking to the lead designer of Legends, Steve Conard, many years ago and he was surprised that Nicol Bolas was the break-out Elder Dragon Legend. He thought it was going to be Arcades Sabboth. Happy Birthday!

Elder Dragons' Fate

Re: The Elder Dragons: Going by the old comics, Vaevictis Asmadi was probably killed by Palladia-Mors. Arcades Sabboth was killed by the planeswalker Kristina. Chromium was killed by Tevesh Szat. Palladia-Mors was last seen alive, but may have been killed by Bolas, since Bolas has claimed to be the only surviving Elder..

Well, I was right that they were dead. : )
