Urabrask the Hidden

Stun Counter Proposition

New 03 Jan 2024 Asked by themastah 29 Comments

What about UR giving opponents' blocking creatures a stun counter? For red, this punishes both the choice to block and subsequently attack, and slows down the opponent (a la exert or Urabrask The Hidden). For blue, stunning is a classic.

We don’t have red stunning creatures.

Urabrask's Mechanism Consideration

Is Urabrask the hidden making creatures your opponents control enter tapped a bend or a break?
Asking because red has a lot of "that can't block" so I can see it being a bend

It’s a bend.

Urabrask Trivia

Hey Mark! It's my birthday, and I was hoping to get any trivia about my favourite card, Urabrask the Hidden?

The Praetors were a cycle where they gave you a bonus and your opponents a handicap and the two needed to be connected. Your opponents having things come into play tapped is normally White but it was such a great opposite to Haste (and a bend, not break in Red) we let it slide. Happy Birthday!

Dragon Tempest Origin

The new Latest Developments article mentions that Dragon Tempest originally had your opponent's non-fliers enter tapped. I found that surprising, since I didn't think that was part of red's color pie outside of Urabrask the Hidden. Is it actually part of red's color pie?

No, it’s not Red. That’s why the card didn’t end up doing that.
