Partner Keyword Variant

If or When; a Partner keyword variant where only one of the 2 commanders need to have the ability like Doctor's Companion but without the Doctor restriction. I.E. a red Partner that can pair with Atraxa, Praetors' Voice to make a 5 color deck.

If. I don’t think we want to make more partner without condition, nor want partner to enable five-color decks.

Karn's Gender Clarification

So now that you've decided Karn doesn't have a gender are you gonna remove the flavor text from Praetor's Counsel?

We didn’t “now decide” anything. I was clarifying something that had always been true since the character was created. By me and my friend Michael.As for Praetor’s Counsel’s flavor text:“As the Phyrexian contagion corroded Karn’s body, the praetors whispered psalms to corrupt his mind.” I have no idea why you think anything about it has to change.

Infect Mechanic Insights

Hand of the Praetors specifies creature spells with infect, since there are no noncreature spells with infect, does this mean that noncreatures with infect were at one time considered?

For a while, we had a direct damage spell that dealt one with infect. When infect officially got templated it was decided that it wasn’t worth the extra words to be able to put it onto noncreature spells (especially since we’d never have many) so the direct damage spell never got made.
