Lose Focus

Absence of Legendary Creature

New 02 Apr 2022 Asked by pop-star-manager-1 71 Comments

Is there a reason why there is no legendary creature in Battle for Baldur's Gate?

The Commander players often focus so much on the legendary creatures in a set that they lose focus on the other interesting cards, so we removed that distraction.

Creative Restrictions

What always comes to mind thinking about the lectures you've given all of us is, that restrictions aren't all bad and might (breed creativity) improve the work you're doing. Whenever I lose focus of what I'm doing I go to this lesson cut down my work into parts and restrict what I'm able to do. It's always a magical little helper. Happy Birthday :D

“Restrictions breed creativity” is probably the lesson I’m most associated with.

When does the Dragon's Maze preview season start?

Two weeks before the prerelease. But hey, Gatecrash isn’t even out yet. Let’s not lose focus. : )

Fantasy Limitations

New 09 Mar 2012 Asked by raidendrake 1 Comments

I don't really agree that there is a limit of what fantasy is. Star Wars is as much fantasy as Lord Of The Rings. I can totally see Cowboys and Indians side to side with wizards and monsters. Have you heard about Deadlands?

Star Wars is fantasy by structure but it is science fiction by trapping which means that most of the world just thinks of it as science fiction.  We have to be careful because if we stretch the boundaries of our IP too much, it starts to lose focus and just becomes an amalgam of everything.
