Green's Iconic Mirrored Pairs

Red and Blue had the blasts and Black and White had the knights. Iconic mirrored pairs that have been referenced several times. But why didnt green get a card like this?

It did. Lifeforce and Tsunami. The first mirrored with Deathgrip..The second was paired with Lifetap (a very loose mechanical pairing admittedly).

Alpha Color Hosers

Original Alpha color hosers were brutal, but most of them seem like color pie breaks today. Would any of them still fit in the color pie today? (FYI: Karma, Conversion, BEB, Lifetap, Deathgrip, Gloom, REB, Flashfires, Lifeforce, Tsunami)

Richard’s original vision was that colors could use their enemies’ abilities to hose them. That hasn’t been true for most the life of the game.

Color Hosers Fade

Hello Mark. In ye olden days of yore when i first started playing there were a lot of cards directly aimed at crippeling an enemy color (beb, reb, karma, volc. eruption, conversion, deathgrip, lifetap, etc) what happend, unfun/narrow/something else?

We call those color hosers. R&D has kind of soured on them over the years as we don’t think they’re all that fun. We still do them from time to time but at a much lower power.
