You didn't HAVE to reprint Legion Loyalty with Boros artwork, but now that you did I can put it in my Ravnica cube! I'm really happy about it! Thanks!

Glad you’re happy.

Legion Loyalty's Bend

New 24 May 2022 Asked by gollumni 30 Comments

If you don't mind me asking, what makes Legion Loyalty a bend? Myriad originally appeared only on the cycle from 2015 and Blade of Selves, so it seemed like it was something that each color could get, even if making temporary tokens is usually just red

I’m probably being a bit too harsh. In Commander products, white can probably have myriad. In a vacuum, it does less self copying than other colors.

Reminder Text Importance

So I understand why reminder text is necessary, but I also feel like standard prints of cards get the shaft when it comes to looking clean in the text box. Is there ever a world where people who like the standard prints of cards get copies without reminder text? Considering the extended art prints can show up in set boosters, isn't it possible less enfranchised players could end up with reminder-textless cards anyhow? I mean for instance "Legion Loyalty" has five functional rules words, and frankly neither art is super appealing, considering how deep Myriad is in this set, couldn't this mythic have survived without reminder text?

We sometimes drop the reminder text for variant printings. In general, we like to side with “people can play it” over “it looks cooler”.

So with Legion Loyalty fresh in mind: Myriad, bend for white or not?

It’s a bend.
