Karma's Color Identity

If you printed a card today with the exact rules text of Karma, what color(s) would it be?

Karma’s in an odd spot. The repeatedly dealing damage mechanic is more red than anything else, but red is not an enemy of black. If we had to make it in one color, I think white is where we’d put it, but it’s a bend. Maybe red in a set with a larger anti-black theme.

Early Magic Design Methods

So originally colors were able to use their enemies abilities against them Blue having Volcanic Eruption and Acid Rain was stealing land destruction from Red and Green. My question is what abilites did White borrow from Black and Red Karma and Conversion are pretty close to things White can do.

Early Magic design was done card by card not using larger systems, so there was no attempt at having the colors all use such a system.
