On Malikir Rebirth/Infuse Possibilities

Are Makakir Rebirth / Infuse with Vitality effects theoretically in pie for either white or boros?

I believe White could get Malikir Rebirth, but probably without the life loss and Infuse with Vitality without the deathtouch. I don’t see what red adds to either.

Buffy's Nature

"Jessica's powers aren't natural. She isn't pushing for the status quo. She has no affinity for the natural order." Replace "Jessica" with "Buffy" and this remains true. (Buffy's slayer powers are not natural in origin -- the slayer line is the result of a group of powerful people deciding to infuse a young girl with demon energy to make use of her as a tool in a fight against what they think is evil, which is white, not green.) You finally made a case for Buffy not being green -- thanks!

You’re wrong. The Slayer is a role that you don’t choose but are born into. When one dies, the next is triggered. It’s a natural system. And when you’re triggered you get the natural skills to be a hunter. It’s about as Green as it gets.

Eldrazi vs. Phyrexians

New 03 Sep 2015 Asked by cartoonwonderful 76 Comments

Do you worry about properly differentiating how the Eldrazi and Phyrexians feel? Eldrazi are colorless and Phyrexians feel connected to artifacts now, and they both feel like an alien, all-consuming force of evil. How are you going to make them feel varied from each other?

Scars of Mirrodin worked hard to infuse the Phyrexian into colors. The Phyrexians are a plague that turns you into them. The Eldrazi are alien giants the eat worlds.

Hope for Arabian Themes

That you say we'll never go back to Arabian Nights is deeply disappointing to me. I love the Arabesque milieu, and the whole djinns and demons and deserts that infuse it. Of course, I started playing MtG when djinn and efreet were all over the place, so i'm nostalgic for that era. I would love to see MtG go back to Arabia or Persia and reclaim some of that wonder.

I didn’t say we’d never do a block where the Persian flavor is used as an inspiration. I said of all the planes, I was doubtful that we’d return to Rabiah.
