Artist Protection Mechanics

Okay so say Im playing an un-game against a artist who has done magic art and play fascist art director. If I give it protection from the artist who I'm playing against would he have protection from that player, or just cards with art by that player?

Just cards with art by them.

Specific Artist Protection

Your answer to the previous ask about Fascist Art Director was a bit ambiguous. If I'm playing a game against you and activate Fascist Art Director naming "Mark Rosewater" what sort of protections would that give it?

It protects you from any card I’ve done the art for. So right now, just Look at Me, I’m the DCI which protection doesn’t really stop.

Protection Rules Clarified

Suppose I'm playing a game against Pete Venters, and I have a Fascist Art Director enchanted with Hero's Resolve. If I activated the Art Director's ability naming Pete Venters, I assume the enchantment falls off and the Art Director becomes unblockable/untargetable/ect. Now, if I play True-Name Nemesis and choose Pete Venters, can I enchant it with Hero's Resolve? Is the answer different for black border and silver border magic?

Protection from a player is different than protection from an artist, the latter of which is only a thing in silver border.

Did WOTC ever get flak for printing 'Fascist Art Director'?

Not that I know of. It was obviously tongue-in-cheek.
