Was fallen angel ever considered for kaldheim or was the flavor not a good fit?

Not a good fit. Fallen Angel has a very different source material,

Reaper Flight Moonsilver Interpretation

New 22 Nov 2020 Asked by armeizh 29 Comments

Hi Mark, in Shadows over Innistrad there's a White creature, Reaper of Flight Moonsilver, with the text "Sac a creature: ~ gets +2/+1 until eot. Only activate if you have 4 or more types of cards in your graveyard." Outside of the nod to Fallen Angel, is this a bend or break in W now?

It was a bend leaning towards the set’s themes. White normally has creatures that sac themselves to help others not ones that sacrifice others to help itself.

Asymmetry in Angel-Demon Representation

There are 3 monoBlack angels and 8 multicolor Black angels, but only one multicolor White demon and none in monoWhite. Why the asymmetry?

Risen demon is just less of a trope than fallen angel.

Unique Tropes and Ideas

"Fallen Angel is a trope seen all over pop culture. Redeemed Demon is not" You aren't implying that Magic never does anything unique are you? I have more faith in it than that.

No, the question was why we’ve done one and not the other. We’re more likely to have hit popular tropes than something that isn’t. Why have we done Mad Scientist and not Monkey Barber? Because the first is a trope meaning everyone including us is more aware of it and thus thre’s more demand for it. That’s all I was saying. (And yes, now I’m going to start getting requests for Monkey Barber.)We do plenty of original things. Maybe one day we’ll do a redeemed demon. It just isn’t something anyone has asked me for before today.

Redeemed Demons Concept

We've seen Fallen Angels. What are the chances we'll see Redeemed Demons in Magic?

Fallen Angel is a trope seen all over pop culture. Redeemed Demon is not. We have done a Redeemed Vampire (a nod to Angel - from his own show and “Buffy, the Vampire Slayer”).

Fallen Angel's Flight

Why Fallen Angel has flying?

Even though it has “fallen” and it is pictured with scars where the wings were ripped from its back? Welcome to early Magic where flavor is not always consistent with mechanics.

Black Angels Likelihood

Will we ever see "Fallen Angel"-style angels in black again?

Unlikely but not impossible.

Fallen Angel Mechanics

Flavor wise, if I'm not mistaken, a fallen angel is black. Does it also lose flying?

It didn’t in Legends (even though the wings had been torn from its back).

Concept of White Demon

Could a White Demon be a redeemed Demon? For example Repentant Vampire becomes white when you reach threshold.

Fallen Angel is a trope. Redeemed demon is not. (And yes, we did redeemed vampire with Repentant Vampire in Odyssey.)

Was Fallen Angel considered for Innistrad block?

No. The angels weren’t tainted in the story which is what Fallen Angel obviously implies.
