Elemental Colors Contemplation

New 24 Dec 2021 Asked by natew000 32 Comments

If Alpha hadn’t made Earth Elemental and Air Elemental, do you think those elements would still be red and blue today, or some other colors?

Earth makes sense in red, but could be done in green. Air is definitely more blue than any other color. White would probably be second.

I’d like to put a request in for more Earth elemental magic, as it’s always felt under represented compared to the likes of fire and lightning magic in Red.

Request heard.

Since green is the colour you pattern least, does it feel strange for Maro to be green?

Earth Elemental Insight

On the topic of color philosophy, Earth Elemental's flavor text sticks out to me for presenting these red creatures as taking "a long-term view of things, scorning the impetuous haste of short-lived mortal creatures." Do you consider this to be a red attribute?

No.

Elemental Reprints Query

How come Fire Elemental, Air Elemental and Earth Elemental have all been reprinted recently but Water Elemental hasn't since Fourth Edition?

Hmm, so we’ve done earth, wind and fire. I wonder if 70’s music has anything to do with it. : )
