Flavor of CMC

Creatively, what does CMC represent? What's the flavorful reason that you can't Fatal Push a Desolation Twin but can Push the token that it creates?

Converted mana cost talks flavorfully about how much magic is need to cast/summon the item in question.

"Couldn't you have had the cards that cared about Eldrazi Scions refer to Eldrazi tokens instead?" It's because there were cards like Desolation Twin, which also produced Eldrazi tokens.

Good point.

Do you think Desolation Twin is a triple crown card?

Was Desolation Twin ever called Broodmate Brood in design?

In you're article you mention that desolation twin started as a green color ID sorcery with devoid. Did any other noncreature spells with devoid make it through, or was that something you decided you didn't want to do?

There are noncreature spells with devoid.
