Thopter Pie Network

Edible Token Policy

I ran across an acorn stamp conundrum the other day, and was hoping you could help. I control Claire D’Loon, Thopter Pie Network, and one of the Network’s tokens, represented by my favorite candy. You have specifically stated that I cannot eat the delicious cards, so what happens when the token dies?

Candy tokens are not cards. You *can* eat delicious tokens when they are made of (edible) candy.

un-rules question: If I control Claire D'Loon and someone tucks my Thopter Pie Network token, do I have to shuffle the piece of food that represents it into my library?

You can represent any token that’s going into your library with a Magic token card.

Possibility of Errata on Acorn Cards

Are acorn (formerly silver) cards able to be errata’d? I was looking at some old favorites and feel it’s now appropriate to allow Thopter Pie Network to allow the thopters to pay two, tap and sac for 3 life.

We have errataed old Un-cards, but what you’re asking for is functional errata which we don’t do very often.

Food-Toy Definition

If I cast a Thopter Pie Network off of Mishra's Toy Factory, what sort of bar do I need to clear for something to count as both food and a toy? Is a lolipop enough?

How is a lollipop a toy? Go into a drugstore, there are numerous candies that are also toys, usually aimed at young kids.

Mishra's Toy Application

Wait, can you use the mana from Mishra's Toy Workshop to cast Thopter Pie Network? I thought it had to make tokens as a result of being cast/entering the battlefield, which TPN doesn't do.

No, you actually can’t do it. It was just fun trying to think up toy/food overlaps.

Can you use a card to represent a token created by Thopter Pie Network?

Not unless it was a edible, which normal Magic cards are not. Reminder: Don’t eat the delicious cards.

RE: Thopter Pie Network, where did the ruling fall on whether chewing gum was considered eating? It has been a while since I saw the whiteboard with it on there.

Gum is not food in silver-bordered world.
