Thanos's Color Identity

Isn't Thanos 2017 Esper? After all, he did reshape the world artificially (Sarkhan Unbroken as reference)

That doesn’t inherently make you blue.

Sarkhan's Colors

Its my birthday! Best day of the year because I get to ask my favorite game designer a question about my favorite game. Any chance for some trivia about either my favorite tribe (Temur) or my favorite planeswalker (Sarkhan Unbroken)?

With the exception of Urza’s Head, Sarkhan has been more colors than any other planeswalker - everything but white. Happy Birthday!

Planeswalkers in Commander

Why don't you reprint more planeswalkers in Commander decks? Cards like Sarkhan Unbroken in the dragon deck, Sorin in vampires and Ajani in cats would have been great fits!

There are limits that guide how we build the decks that adding planeswalkers would complicate.

Notice in the Khans trailer, the Sarkhan you see reflected in the hedron has the hair color tinge he has on Sarkhan Unbroken, his Dragons of Tarkir card. I thought it was a super neat touch when I noticed it.

Sarkhan's Blue Aspect

Since we're all on color pie tonight, what makes Sarkhan Unbroken blue? He seems Red/Green in flavor and mechanics.

He’s messing with time to perfect his world.

Naming Sarkhan Unbroken

Why did you choose to name the most recent Sarkhan "Sarkhan Unbroken"?

That’s a fine question… for Doug. Let me know what he says.
