Green Mechanics Query

Does green get to return its own stuff to hand? Eg Roaring Primadox, Kolga the Titan Ape, Temur Sabertooth

We occasionally (although infrequently) do it as an upkeep cost.

Why'd you put bounce (a blue effect) on a green creature? (Roaring Primadox)

Green can bounce its own creatures as a cost, often as a recurring upkeep cost.

It’s fine.

Card Advantage Discovery

Happy birthday! My trivia 'Awesome!' moment is from playing Duels of the Planeswalkers 2013. I unlocked the Yeva deck, centered around green creatures that have ETB effects (+1/+1 counters, draw cards, temporary boosts) and Roaring Primadox to recur their triggers. That was my first experience learning about card advantage, and the Primadox was my 'collect card' when I moved to paper Magic in M13.

You said that bouncing is no longer part of green. Does that mean we'll never see cards like Roaring Primadox again in green?

Green can bounce its own creatures as a cost. What it doesn’t do anymore is out your opponent’s cards on top of their library.

Land Destruction Combo

New 31 Aug 2012 Asked by iiyama88 3 Comments

I was drafting M13 the other day and realised that Roaring Primadox and Acidic Slime make a very nasty combo in M13 that can deprive people of land. So if Wizards generally believe land destruction to be unfun, how did this combo get into a format designed for new players?

We’re not against land destruction existing or evening happening. We just don’t like it cheap and fast such that it never allows a player to play spells.  The combo you’re talking about takes a while to set up and is fragile.
