Get the Point

Un Set Interaction

If another Un set happens, would you make a card that interacts with the "Absolutely removed from the freaking game forever" zone?

You don’t get the point of that card, do you? : )

Cheatyface Gameplay Confusion

New 26 Jan 2014 Asked by melleslob 11 Comments

I'm gonna be absolutely frank here; Not a single person I've ever met has even imagined that Cheatyface could possibly have rules. There has been people I've talked to who have sleeved up a Cheatyface underneath every single card in their deck, another who had stuffed their shoes with them and got them into play with Shoe Tree, so on and so forth. And while I get the point of you saying "That's cheating, even in Silver-Bordered," I think people kinda get absorbed in cheating theme of the card.

If your group wants to cheat with Cheatyface, then make a house rule and that’s awesome. I’m just explaining how the card actually works.

Permanents Concept Teaching

Mark, is there any way to get the point across that all cards aren't permanents? I'm teaching my 8 year old sister how to play and she thinks everything stays in play unless it dies (creature logic.)

I think you have to get the flavor across of what instants and sorceries represent.

Theme Representation in Commons

New 16 Apr 2012 Asked by eternalcheechako 0 Comments

What percentage of the commons need to be on theme to get the point across? OR how many cards in one pack should contain the theme?

It depends on the theme and how it weaves into the mechanics. Some themes only need a couple cards while others need a whole bunch. Basically, it boils down to how many cards need to be in a deck to get the feel. The less that number the lower the percentage needs to be at common.
