Hi Mark,Wand of Wonder was called Rod of Wonder in the playtest because it changed from Wand to Rod in 3rd edition (before returning to being a wand again later)

Good to know.

Absence of Flavor Words

New 26 Mar 2022 Asked by the-machine-orthodoxy 48 Comments

I did not see amy flavor words on the Brass Dragon, Wand of Wonder, or Elder Brain. Were flavor words less popular than I thought and thus abandoned, deemed too confusing and thus abandoned, or used more sparingly than in Adventures in the Forgotten Realms and therefore exist, but in smaller amounts?

The Battle for Baldur’s Gate has flavor words. The preview cards were just a little text heavy.

Hello, It was my Birthday yesterday :D. Do you have any trivia on Temporal Aperture?

I designed Temporal Aperature as a top-down design of a Wand of Wonder, a magical artifact from the game Dungeons & Dragons. Happy Birthday!
