Spike Jester

Clown Trait Integration

If Clowns do make the jump to a non-un- set would older cards like Spike Jester get erratad into them, like what happened with Noble, or is the MtG idea of a 'Clown' the distinct aesthetic of the red nose and make-up kind of idea we see on Pietra that would differentiate them from Rakdos' whole deal?

Clowns would probably have to typally matter in a premier set to have us do errata.

Spike Jester's Colors

What about the card Spike Jester is Black? You often talk about how multi-colored cards need to have some justification for being the colors that they are, and I just don't see anything in Spike Jester that is Black and not Red. Haste? Red. P>T? Red. Goblin? Red.

Sometimes gold cards are just efficient cards that could be in either color. Black also has haste, can have higher power than toughness and occasionally has goblins.
