Repeal

Portuguese Naming Issues

Hi Mark! Cards in Portuguese also sometimes suffer from having two cards with the same name, such as Duress and Coercion (Coerção), Carbonize and Char (Carbonizar), and (oddly in the same block) Repeal and Overrule (Revogar). Then you also have some funny mistakes such as Ascended Lawmage ("Ascended Coronermage") and Skyknight Legionnaire ("Night Sky Legionnaire").

Un-set Printing Idea

New 11 Dec 2015 Asked by burstingbeebles42-blog 29 Comments

Hi Mark, would it be possible to reprint black border cards in black border in an un-set, but have hilarious artwork to meet the silliness factor? Like Repeal could be someone pealing an orange or Swords to Plowshares could be someone fighting with an ear of corn.

My biggest concern is that those cards would take away from what the most ardent Un-fans want - cards mechanically that explore space black border doesn’t touch.

Reserved List Purpose

What was the original intent of the oft-decried Reserved List, and why is it that Wizards can't, today, repeal it?

The Reserved List was originally created to ease concerns of collectors.
