No Errata for Cards

New 24 Nov 2021 Asked by nanaimiguelsvoluminouspussy 39 Comments

Hey Mark! Is there a design/gameplay reason why cards like Standardize or Unnatural Selection were never errata'd to remove the "you can't name Walls" restriction despite the creature type no longer inherently carrying Defender

We limit our functional errata and it wasn’t something we get mechanically needed to change.

Green vs Black Conflict

New 15 Nov 2016 Asked by siamkor 66 Comments

Could you please clarify an issue regarding the Green vs. Black conflict? Green is a believer in the natural order, which includes prey and predator. I understand why Green wouldn't want prey going out of its way to become predator (part of Black), but shouldn't it be okay with the notion of true predators taking advantage of the weak (another part of Black, i.e., Vampires, some Demons...)? Thanks!

People confuse “survival of the fittest” between Black and Green. Black’ Survival of the Fittest is the idea that the stronger person will get what they want. Might makes right. If you can take something away from someone else, it belongs to you.Green’s Survival of the Fittest is the Darwinian meaning. Things that can survive to mate pass along their genetic traits. Over time the traits that better allow survival will grow while those that don’t will die out - through natural selection.

The color pie has changed some since Alpha.

Wolverine's Color Identity

New 08 Feb 2014 Asked by sentancedtosaturnus-deactivated 14 Comments

I know that comic characters change colors frequently, but could Wolverine be RBG? The red and green seem pretty spot on, but is his selfishness black or just natural selection (green)?

Wolverine is pretty base green. He has a little red (more in the movies) and a little black. Currently in the comics, he has some white.
