Hey Mark, it's my cousin's birthday today! He and I have been playing magic together for around 20 years now, he's an avid reader of the blog but he's too timid to ask a birthday trivia, so, for Jeremy, do you have any trivia on Psychosis Crawler, Mindmoil, or Angel's Trumpet?

Johnny Card Costing

I guess this got lost in the deluge: What is with the tendency for Johnny-designed cards to not be costed aggressively? Since they often require other cards to be of any use in the first place, shouldn't they be a bit cheaper? Cards like Mindmoil, Colfenor's Plans, Hive Mind, Battle of Wits, etc all come to mind. As a Johnny who actually enjoys winning the occasional game, I often feel like I'm thrown relatively few bones design wise.

Spike/Johnny cards can be very dangerous so we have to be extra careful with them. Urza’s Saga, for example, was a block where we weren’t.

The Johnny cards aren’t costed aggressively, true, but the Johnny/Spike cards usually are.
