Form of the Mulldrifter

DCI Ban Rules

If my opponent uses "Look at Me, I'm the DCI" to ban Mulldrifter, can I still play cards as if they were Mulldrifters while I'm in "Form of the Mulldrifter"?

This came up in an actual game.

Form of Muldrifter isn’t technically acorn (or eternal), but I’ll give it my best guess. No, you can’t because Look at Me, I’m the DCI created an effect that, for the rest of the game, removes any card with that name in any zone. When the creature card goes to the stack as a card named Mulldrifter, it will get removed by the banning effect.
