Homunculi Sign Language

New 11 Mar 2019 Asked by rhonas-the-indomitable-blog 53 Comments

The latest RNA story mentions a homunculus signing, but I thought that the use of sign language was unique to the homunculi of Kylem because they do not have mouths. Going by cards like Totally Lost and Doorkeeper, the homunculi on Ravnica do have mouths. Could you clarify this please?

Having a mouth doesn’t mean you can necessarily speak. There are mute humans, for example.

Defender Tribal Support

In last Ravnica, we got some support for defender tribal (axebane guardian, doorkeeper). I was hoping this time, because of Arcades, we would get even more. However, we got 5 defenders and two of them aren't even in Arcades color pie and one doesn't even need him! I like this set, but I feel like I was baited into hoping for something and just ended up disappointed.

When we return to a plane, there is only so much old things that can return. We want to focus on some new things and that takes space meaning some things can’t return.

Defenders' Game Impact

New 11 Dec 2014 Asked by onceamormon-blog 20 Comments

Do defenders with abilities that progress the game to end count towards the creature slots? Examples such as Archers' Parapet activating to have opponents lose 1 life. What about a card like Doorkeeper activating to mill X cards?

The issue is are they functions as creatures not if they’re advancing the game. Other card types do that.

Is the Kafka reference on Doorkeeper a happy coincidence?

Coincidence? What’s that? : )

Fblthp Profession Choice

New 13 May 2013 Asked by malekoda 29 Comments

You say that Fblthp was in Return to Ravnica. Did you mean Doorkeeper? Because I don't think anyone would make someone that was "afraid of crowds" in charge of guarding a store.

Fblthp has made some poor profession choices.
