“do the rules support this” “do the rules support that”, would the rules support me in my time of need?

The rules are here for you.

Lord Windgrace's Return

New 09 May 2019 Asked by fabriciourbaneja-deactivated202 34 Comments

Hi, Mark. I find Blogatog a fantastic source of information about the game. This is the first time I ask. In the book Caos Planar there is a mention that Planeswalker Lord Windgrace (who merged his spirit with Urborg) could return in a time of need in Dominaria. Do you have plans for this? Thank you!

Lord Windgrace was a planeswalker card, capable of being your Commander, in one of the recent Commander decks.

Bond Cycle Implications

Does the Bond cycle (two guilds coming together) have wider story implications (i.e. will Ravnica become a 3-color plane??) or is it just a one-time cooperation between individual guild members.

It’s just cooperation in the time of need against a shared enemy.

Why is Time of Need Green?

Because green is the color that tutors for creatures (specifically, black tutors for anything).

Common Legendary Matters

New 14 Nov 2015 Asked by dace67 18 Comments

Legendaries can't be at common but couldn't legendary matters be at common? Lifespinner, Time of Need, and even Day of Destiny effects seem like they could be common which would fit the legendary matters theme, would it not?

The problem is can you get the as-fan up high enough to justify common cards that care?
