Blue Psychic Damage

Psionic blast, psionic entity, psionic gift, psionic sliver, psychic venom, psychic purge, psychic barrier, psychic allergy, mind bomb, are all examples of blue using psychic for damage. Are any of these still available to blue under current color pir restrictions?

No. Blue no longer gets direct damage in its slice of the color pie. It’s still able to flavor things as psionic if used on an ability blue can do.

Unique Off-Color Cards

I love cards like Psychic Venom and Hornet Sting being made and being off-color because it makes them feel unique. Have you ever thought that maybe making more cards like that off the color pie gives magic more flavor and makes it feel more alive (less artificial at least)?

Breaking rules is exhilarating. It doesn’t mean it’s okay to break them.Magic is constantly bending it’s rules from set to set. That should be enough excitement. The limitation of each color is a crucial component of what makes the game work.

Psychic Venom Redesign

If you were to remake Psychic Venom, would it still be in Blue, or has that type of effect moved to Black and Red?

It would be Black or Red, most likely Black and be loss of life.

Would the card Psychic Venom's ability be in black's color pie in today's magic?

Psychic Venom would be red but you could do a life loss version in black.

Mechanic Color Shift

New 03 Jun 2012 Asked by psychic-venom 1 Comments

Why did the mechanic from Psychic Venom move to black recently and will we ever get Psychic Venom back in the core set?

If you mean the original, not very likely as we’ve decided that the ability just isn’t blue.
