Midnight Haunting

Token Creation Speed

For cards that make 1/1 Flying tokens like spectral procession and Midnight haunting what decides whether they be sorcery or instant Speed?

It’s a switch we can use to change how the cards work. Sometimes it’s for power level reasons, sometimes it’s to differentiate it from another card, sometimes it’s a mechanical issue of a how we want the card used.

Token Cards Contribution

(This has probably been asked a billion times, but whatever) Were you directly involved with some of the token cards from Innistrad? Sorin LoI, Intangible Virtue, Lingering Souls, Midnight Haunting and the like? Also, Is there a limit on how many cards I can send you to sign? ^w^ I want to Marofy my standard decks~

I’m always involved in making some of the token cards because I love tokens.  Send me as many cards as you like. Just: a) Include a self-adressed stamped envelope that has enough postage to get all of them back. b) Allow me some time to sign them if there’s a bunch.

Midnight vs Lingering

Why print Midnight Haunting and Lingering Souls in the same block? The latter is simply a strictly better version of the former.

We make “better than” cards constantly. It’s just something trading card games do.

Token Creation Speed

I think it was in GDS2 that you said you tend to make tokens at sorcery speed. IF you actually said that, are Master's Call and Midnight Haunting the exception to the rule? Or are you revoking the rule?

I didn’t say we never make them at instant speed. I said the default was sorcery speed meaning more often than not token makers will be sorceries and not instants.
