Great job to the team for commander 2015. But I was very disappointed that the magus of the Wheel was not made with a cycle. This was the first time a magus was introduced without a cycle. Barring magus of the Unseen

Limiting things to cycles adds extra restrictions that often can lead to subpar cards. The Commander decks only get so many new card designs and we want to maximize their awesomeness.

Finally, my birthday! Any trivia about the first rares I ever opened: Kjeldoran Knight or Magus of the Unseen (or Ice Age in general if those are too obscure)?

Ice Age is one of only a handful of sets where the codename during design ended being it’s printed name. Happy Birthday!
